Our Boat Maintenance Services

 

To get the most out of your Yamaha outboard engine, it’s recommended that routine maintenance is performed at specified operation intervals. 

20 Hours or 3 Monthsboat maintenance

 

This is typically the first maintenance job your boat will need. Tasks performed will include: 

 

  • Motor oil change, oil filter change, and gear oil change

  • Spark plug cleaning and/or replacement

  • Fuel filter replacement

  • Engine inspection

  • Propeller inspection and lubrication

100 Hours or 1 Year

 

After one year on the water or 100 hours of engine operation, your boat will need everything listed above, including: 

 

  • Anode and thermostat inspection and/or replacement

  • Grease point lubrication

 

300 Hours or 3 Yearsboat maintenance on engine

 

After three years, be sure to schedule routine maintenance for your boat, where we will perform these additional tasks: 

 

  • Fuel pump inspection/replacement

  • Replacement of impeller/water pump housing

 

500 Hours or 5 Years

 

When your boat hits the 500-hour or 5-year mark, it will be time to perform all of the maintenance work listed above, including: 

 

  • Inspection/adjustment of valve clearance

  • Replacement of oil control valve filter and VST filter

  • Timing belt replacement 

  • Exhaust guide and manifold replacement

1,000 Hours+

 

After 1,000 hours of operation, your boat will need the same service performed at the 500-hour interval, plus any other repairs, replacements, or inspections suitable for the age and use of your boat at the time of service.
